Different scams land in my scam box every day. My scam box is my spam email box.

If all the lottery wins were true, I would be making millions every week. Actually according to one scammer, who sent me an email just now, I have just won $2.5 million in the Toyota Car Lottery International Promotions Thailand. All I have to do to pick up my money is contact Dr. Yousef Vugar. David   Idan, the claim agent, Toyota Lottery Thailand Branch, Email:toyotalottreyprom@yahoo.co.jp Phone Contact : +66800728539

Dr. Youself Vugar (probably a misspelling of vulgar) is only too willing to help me claim my prize providing I provide him with my full name, country, telephone number, occupation, age and sex.

Naturally, as a valued recipient of the company’s generosity and in order for me to be protected from schemers, scammers and fraudulent people, the following warning is provided for my convenience.

Honestly, I am amazed that anybody would be foolish enough to respond to an email of this sort. The scammers try desperately to convince me that the reason this mail happened to be sent out to me in particular was because of my activity on the internet. It just so happens twelve people every year are selected from Microsoft, Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail accounts, company domains, and other providers to win $2.5 million.

How fortunate can a person be.  There must be billions of email accounts. And I was one of the lucky few.

It is amazing that anybody would even bother responding to an email scam of this nature. There are so many of them that every day they are arrive in the junk box.

The junk box is not something that I usually check. However, of late I have been looking in it to see what the scammers are trying to do, because of an attempt to scam me via a more sophisticated means through the ruse of a woman looking for a partner. This was a well thought out stratagem that incorporated all the hallmarks of legitimacy, except there were many telltale signs that for any discerning person indicated that this was a scam. Although, at times, I was thinking that it just might not be a scam, although the alarm bells were always ringing, even when I put them on silent. This is what we have to be careful of these days.  Crafty crooks who devise strategies to mislead us into thinking that we want to help someone out in their misfortune.

The blatant scams , of which there are many, are easy to spot.  When  scammers has information they have obtained from a legitimate source, they are able to get their emails into your inbox and this presents a problem, especially if a person is feeling a little lonesome, a little depressed or not on top of their game for some reason.

Indian Scammers and Illegal Bookmakers

The number of scams hitting my junk mail box does not appear to be increasing. Up until my recent experience with the Azerbaijani woman who tried to set me for a scam, so I would become the sucker who was forking out money to forward stolen funds via Western Union to her.

What I have noticed is that there is a high probability that many of these scams are coming out of India. When I was first contacted by the Azerbaijani woman in the attempt to scam me, I noticed that the email address was from India. Then when I answered her email, because I was curious to know how she obtained my information from an organization which no longer had the right for the last two and half years to retain or pass on any of my information to anyone, her email address changed to a German address.

Only yesterday, I noticed that another email came from an NZ which I assume is New Zealand. A little checking and I notice that many of the scam emails in the junk box have sender addresses as coming from one country and the return address is to an account to another country. These scammers are easily able to obtain email addresses, but they will have to possess an I.P. address—an internet protocol address that is managed by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority. What this means is it is possible to trace scammers, even though they are able to move around and avoid detection.

In a way, we could see these scammers as being a highly organized criminal activity that operate similarly to the illegal bookmakers who operate off course. The illegal bookmakers would set up a telephone answering facility in an empty apartment, office block, warehouse, or factory and move to another location after a few days. This way, once the authorities got an idea of where they might be located, the bookies would packing up their last phone and leaving via the back door as the police and feds are about to announce their presence. It a game of hide and seek, only this game is not for children. The same could easily be going on when it comes to scammers on the internet. It is possible to set up facilities in every country and move around locations and use different email addresses via the telecommunications satellite system.

In some respects, it might seem to be just as easy to track the movements of these crime gangs changing I.P. addresses as what it would be to track a vehicle with the GPS (global positioning system)—except, there is move activity going on around us in the domain of the wireless network of satellite communication, than what would be happening with in all the beehives in the USA. Not only have we got internet communication, we have cell phones, radio, television, defence systems and more than technology than I could think of using the satellite systems. What this means is once the IP address of the scammers has been identified, once the ground  troops are marshaled for action, the scammers are gone. It is like the boy who cried wolf, when there was none to be found, the authorities start thinking about wasted time.

Seriously, who wants to be a time waster? The internet is there to be used and we may as well make use of it. Nonetheless, we owe it to ourselves to be responsible to ourselves for what we do. Will China Rule The World?

Economics is the driver of all change. Right now, the economic powerhouse that is driving the world is China.  China does present a problem though. This is because history has a habit of repeating itself.  

China is not a democracy. A democracy allows dissent. Countries that are ruled by an autocrat or a plutocracy or, as in China’s case, a communist regime that controls freedoms and propagates myths, need to focus on an external enemy for survival. People unite when they have to compete against others. This is the case when it comes to sport. This is also the case when it comes to nationalism.

Unlike Russia, which is ruled by an oligarchic plutocracy under the pretense of being a democratic republic, China has no pretense. China is ruled by an oligarchy of communists that is intent of keeping the reigns of control over the nation firmly in their grip. While embracing capitalism, the government itself also participates in the enterprise and buys up what it can overseas, ostensibly to ensure that there is no disruption to the economic growth that is occurring within China.  True capitalism requires minimal government interference, the government itself does not control state run enterprises.

 The Chinese government is doing two things that indicate we should be alarmed at what the future outcomes could be. One is the state run enterprises involved in purchasing companies and land in foreign countries. The other is the fostering of nationalism by creating the myth that Chairman Moa is the champion of the current economic revival being experienced in China.  

Already there is a "them and us" mentality being fostered within China. With so many children being products of the one child policy, they have a distorted perception of true family life. These "only the lonely" children need a cause to justify their existence, to relieve their frustrations and fulfill their need for belonging. Since there are over 300 million of them, only a small percentage need to believe that China rules, before they fancy taking over the world.

Rio should see China top the medal tally at the thirty-first Olympiad.  When this happens, then expect to see posturing from China on the international stage that befits more the pride of the swastika rather than the humility we have come to associate with the humble  worker.

JESUS IS A CAPITALIST

Jesus is the only man who rose from the dead. As a consequence of this a religion was founded called Christianity. Christianity takes many forms and consists of varied belief systems. However, one thing that seems to stand out is people who advocate communism and socialism tend not to be believers in the resurrection of Jesus.

Jesus is often touted to have preached socialistic values. This is because Jesus appears to have scorned the wealthy. Jesus told stories like that of the rich man who died the very night he decided to retire and live it up after having spent years acquiring possessions and wealth. Jesus told a rich young ruler that he if he were to obtain eternal life, the rich ruler needed to sell all his possessions and give the money to the poor.

Then there is the story of Lazarus and Dives. Dives was a rich man who refused to help Lazarus the beggar out. But while Dives luxuriated in wealth in this world and Lazarus subsisted in misery, after death the tables were turned. Dives experienced suffering, and Lazarus, comfort and luxury.

Jesus was not preaching socialist values; rather Jesus was pointing out that every person has a degree of responsibility for what they have in life. What they do with what they have is the important issue.

The rich retiree died before he could enjoy his wealth. The young rich ruler could have used his wealth to advantage the poor and educate them to do the same. Dives enjoyed his wealth only to realize the consequences for those who lack compassion for the less fortunate.

Jesus speaks of those who do good like the Samaritan, who has compassion on the suffering stranger who has been robbed and beaten. He speaks of those who sell their goods and distributing them to the poor and then doing the will of God receiving a hundred-fold more material than what they had in the beginning. And in the parable of the talents, Jesus praises those who trade and double the capital they were originally trusted with.

Jesus endorsed capitalism. Jesus did not endorse socialism. Socialism is a human concept and not something, that has its origins in the Creator of life. Socialism is a soul-destroying philosophy. It provides no hope. Capitalism, on the other hand, provides hope. Where there is no hope, there is no future; where there is no future there is no incentive to produce anything of value or to increase the value of what one already possesses.

Capital is the very essence of being. Capital is not money as many people like to think. Money of itself is useless. Money only becomes useful when it has true economic value. Economic value is dependent upon people utilizing their own resources to create value and wealth.

Jesus was a capitalist and taught that we all have intrinsic human capital, which needs to be enhanced so we might discover our true worth in life.

Freedom For Feminists

Freedom for some people is about being able to do what they want to do when they want to do it, regardless of consequences.

You could say that sounds like a good definition of freedom. Yet often the people who claim to be free are not really free at all. There once was a movement that embraced the slogan of free love. The culture was really about free sex. The pill had been made widely available and women's liberation was gaining momentum. At last women have been set free from the threat of having an unwanted child if they wanted to indulge in unrestrained sexual activity. The free love revolution hit the headlines and sex, booze, drugs and rock and roll was the rhythm of the day. So-called sexual license was here to stay.

The woman's liberation movement of the sixties was largely sparked in 1963 by Betty Friedan's The Feminine Mystique which denigrated the idea that childrearing and homemaking was a woman's role. There was more to sexual expression and women had the right to be as free as men.

Supposedly, men enjoyed a life of sexual license with any woman of their choice and held the power in corporations and politics and anywhere else that mattered.

But what were men free to do? Most men did not live such a life at all. In fact, suburban husbands went to work, came home and were often at the mercy of their wives, because, at home, the wife was the boss. Admittedly, there were many exceptions, but in a majority of cases the loving lady ruled.

Regardless of what certain people might like to claim, freedom is not just a matter of throwing off the shackles of being tied down to a home, or a job, or obtaining a university degree or anything else. Freedom is about being able to enjoy what you have around you regardless of your circumstances.

When freedom was gained for the Negro slaves of the Confederate States of USA, the plantation owners, who had first opposed the idea of setting their slaves free, found that they had a better work force that was cheaper than a slave force. They found that the people were still enslaved to the need for a roof over their head and the need to obtain an income to pay for the roof over their head and the food in their belly and the clothes on their back.

People who belong to the ruling class, who have the wealth to do what they like, are not really free, either. If they over-step the boundaries of what is acceptable they will be bound by the fear of being found out. How often do you see a politician disgraced because he thought he was free to over-step the bounds of social acceptability?

True freedom means that you can do what is right whenever you choose. If you succumb to your desires all the time; if you give in to your lusts; if you find your emotions getting the better of you; or if you find other people can push the buttons that ignite your outbursts of frustration and anger; the truth is you are not free. True freedom is self-control. This way you are able to do what you like, whenever you like, according to what is right.

When Will Jesus Christ Return?

There have been a number of predictions of when Jesus Christ will return. One of the most fascinating has to be that of Frank Tipler, Professor of Mathematics at Tulane University. Professor Tipler claims that Jesus will return sometime before AD2057 at the latest. In support of this claim, Professor Tipler writes “Christianity is not a mere religion, but an experimentally testable science.” math.tulane.edu/~tipler/

Jesus said:

Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door. Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.

But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. (NASB)

The fig tree in this parable is often thought to be the nation of Israel. Interpreted, this passage above means that when you see the non-existent nation of Israel founded again, know that there will only be one generation and Jesus shall return.

Based on this above passage for centuries people have been predicting that Israel would return as a nation, and contrary to their scoffers have been proven right.

Israel began in to exist in its present day form when in 1917 the Balfour Declaration was made that committed the British Government to establishing a home for the Jewish people in Palestine. In 1947, the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted a resolution to create two separate states in Palestine, one Arab and one Jewish. Israel was to be given independence. This occurred in October of 1948.

In the light of what Jesus said and Israel being recognized as the homeland of the Jews, it appears that Jesus will be returning soon. As for the exact time Jesus will be returning, predicting the exact day is impossible. However, we have a clue as to when the year might be because Jesus said that it shall be as in the days of Noah.

A generation can be anything from 10yrs to 120yrs. Much depends on what is being talked about. A generation can be a lifetime or a predetermined number of years. In the case of Noah, the generation that is referred to is 120yrs.

What this means in the light of what Jesus said about his return is that he will return around 120yrs after the declaration that the Jewish homeland should be created.

This means that Jesus should be returning somewhere around AD2037. Frank Tipler has Jesus returning no later than AD2057 based on information other than interpreting what Jesus may have meant in this parable.

There are other prophecies that have to be fulfilled before Jesus returns, such as the restoration of the temple and the gospel being preached to every tribe on Earth.
