10 Lessons From A Dying Man

Life lessons by Denis Wright:

1. Don't spend your life in a job you hate. Life is too short to live it only in the evening and at weekends.

2. If there's something bad happening in your life you genuinely have no control over, learn all you can about it and how to live with it. Beating your head against a brick wall is unproductive.

3. If you think you can change it, then go all out to do so. Try to understand its nature and work with it where you can.

4. There are no 'good' and 'bad' decisions. If you made what you think might have been a poor choice in life, learn from it, and you might make a better one next time. You don't know what's going to turn out good or bad in the long run, so regrets are a waste of time.

5. Don't agonise about the past, in the sense that you can't change it. Live in the slice of time that's the now. You can't live in the moment; it's too short. The slice is richer. It contains a little of past, present and future.

6. Apologise as soon as you can when you think you've hurt someone. Don't try to pretend you're perfect. Accept responsibility where it's due.

7. Keep your options open for as long as possible. Don't close them unnecessarily.

8. Try to keep your sense of humour if you can, though it's not always possible.

9. Carpe Diem ... Or, for a change, seize the day!

10. Do not be afraid of death. "If you're not more afraid of your own death than you need to be, then you need have little fear for anything life can hand out." 

Death means possessing no life. Life means not being dead. 

Unfortunately for Dennis Wright, he thinks all we are born for is to die. Dennis Wright thinks life ends, whereas by definition life does not end. Life is eternal. What this means is that if we are going to die, what we perceive to be life on this Earth is not life at all, it has to be defined as something else. The logical conclusion suggests that Earth is a place where those who are going to possess life and all its fullness are sorted from those who are going to know only death. If death means we cease to exist then there is nothing to fear. 

The problem with this assumption is two-fold.  

If we are born just to die, then there is no meaning to life and existence.

However, if there is meaning and life means no death, then this suggests another existence  once we leave our biological bodies.

According to airline reviewer Skytrax and Business Insider Australia, who have ranked the 10 worst airlines in the world for flying cattle-class. The list is based on the ratings and reviews by Skytrax, which conducts Quality Audit and research work for commercial airlines and airports.

Seat comfort, quality of the meals, in-flight entertainment, cleanliness, condition of the cabin and efficiency of the service were all factors considered in the reviews.

The scores were adjusted to be out of 100 and averaged in order to reflect the overall "most unpleasant in-flight experiences".

There are numerous stories as to what did or didn’t happen at the World Trade Center on 11^th September 2001. I was watching Rumble In The Jungle, a documentary about the fight between George Foreman and Mohammed Ali, when the television channel switched to the scenes at New York where a plane had flown into one of the twin towers of the World Trade Center.

What puzzled me was how those buildings could implode the way they did. Something just did not seem right. However, after having watched another documentary that explained how it was possible I accepted the official view. That was until I heard a crew of workers would visit the buildings each morning between 3am-5am for some ten days prior to attack when the janitorial workers had left and before day workers appeared. I decided to review the footage again.

A study of the video footage shows explosions taking place below the floors of the crash site. When you see for yourself this, you ask the question, who did what.

1. The second plane was unmarked with no Airline logo. 
2. The planes were travelling extremely fast and very accurately managed to perform a maneuver that is difficult for experienced pilots to pull off, let alone inexperienced amateur pilots, which indicate that the accuracy was programmed and the planes were on autopilot. 
3. The second plane clearly was carrying a cylindrical object of some sort under its carriage. 
4. Timed explosions are easily identified occurring below the floors of the crash site. 
5. The smoke from the crash of the planes was black indicating insufficient oxygen and fire losing heat.
6. The smoke from the lower levels was white indicating the fire was fed by oxygen. 
7. The plane crashes were about an hour apart, yet the towers imploded around the same time. 
8. Buildings burn for days when on fire without sending debris miles away, but these twin towers imploded from intense heat within a few hours sending debris  miles from the vicinity suggesting explosive forces. 
9. The steel within the building melted in such a way that it evidently required an accelerant such as thermite, which was probably sprayed over the steel structures between the floors. 
10. The fire was localized at the point of impact, yet the buildings collapsed uniformly indicating that the fire would have had to be pervasively burning at uniform intensity throughout all of the two buildings.

These ten points raise questions as to who knew what and whether there were members of the US government conspiring to further the aims of a covert group of strategists seeking to consolidate world power.

Ten Inventions Of The Mad Scientist

Nikola Tesla was often portrayed as the mad scientist by the press, and many thought he was ahead of his time.Unlike most scientists and engineers, Tesla would work out in his mind what others would need to draw. Once the blueprint was finished in his mind, then he would put it down on paper. The financier J.P. Morgan has even been accused of burning down his laboratory so that he could not provide free electricity. The legend of Nikola Tesla lives on.  Here are ten of his inventions.


1. Alternating Current -- This is where it all began, and what ultimately caused such a stir at the 1893 World's Expo in Chicago.  A war was leveled ever-after between the vision of Edison and the vision of Tesla for how electricity would be produced and distributed.  The division can be summarized as one of cost and safety: The DC current that Edison (backed by General Electric) had been working on was costly over long distances, and produced dangerous sparking from the required converter (called a commutator).  Regardless, Edison and his backers utilized the general "dangers" of electric current to instill fear in Tesla's alternative: Alternating Current.  As proof, Edison sometimes electrocuted animals at demonstrations.  Consequently, Edison gave the world the electric chair, while simultaneously maligning Tesla's attempt to offer safety at a lower cost.  Tesla responded by demonstrating that AC was perfectly safe by famously shooting current through his own body to produce light.  This Edison-Tesla (GE-Westinghouse) feud in 1893 was the culmination of over a decade of shady business deals, stolen ideas, and patent suppression that Edison and his moneyed interests wielded over Tesla's inventions. Yet, despite it all, it is Tesla's system that provides power generation and distribution to North America in our modern era.


2. Light -- Of course he didn't invent light itself, but he did invent how light can be harnessed and distributed.  Tesla developed and used florescent bulbs in his lab some 40 years before industry "invented" them. At the World's Fair, Tesla took glass tubes and bent them into famous scientists' names, in effect creating the first neon signs.  However, it is his Tesla Coil that might be the most impressive, and controversial.  The Tesla Coil is certainly something that big industry would have liked to suppress: the concept that the Earth itself is a magnet that can generate electricity (electromagnetism) utilizing frequencies as a transmitter.  All that is needed on the other end is the receiver -- much like a radio.

3. X-rays -- Electromagnetic and ionizing radiation was heavily researched in the late 1800s, but Tesla researched the entire gamut. Everything from a precursor to Kirlian photography, which has the ability to document life force, to what we now use in medical diagnostics, this was a transformative invention of which Tesla played a central role.  X-rays, like so many of Tesla's contributions, stemmed from his belief that everything we need to understand the universe is virtually around us at all times, but we need to use our minds to develop real-world devices to augment our innate perception of existence.

4. Radio -- Guglielmo Marconi was initially credited, and most believe him to be the inventor of radio to this day.  However, the Supreme Court overturned Marconi's patent in 1943, when it was proven that Tesla invented the radio years previous to Marconi.  Radio signals are just another frequency that needs a transmitter and receiver, which Tesla also demonstrated in 1893 during a presentation before The National Electric Light Association.  In 1897 Tesla applied for two patents  US 645576, and US 649621. In 1904, however, The U.S. Patent Office reversed its decision, awarding Marconi a patent for the invention of radio, possibly influenced by Marconi's financial backers in the States, who included Thomas Edison and Andrew Carnegie. This also allowed the U.S. government (among others) to avoid having to pay the royalties that were being claimed by Tesla.

5. Remote Control -- This invention was a natural outcropping of radio. Patent No. 613809 was the first remote controlled model boat, demonstrated in 1898.  Utilizing several large batteries; radio signals controlled switches, which then energized the boat's propeller, rudder, and scaled-down running lights. While this exact technology was not widely used for some time, we now can see the power that was appropriated by the military in its pursuit of remote controlled war. Radio controlled tanks were introduced by the Germans in WWII, and developments in this realm have since slid quickly away from the direction of human freedom.

6. Electric Motor -- Tesla's invention of the electric motor has finally been popularized by a car brandishing his name.  While the technical specifications are beyond the scope of this summary, suffice to say that Tesla's invention of a motor with rotating magnetic fields could have freed mankind much sooner from the stranglehold of Big Oil.  However, his invention in 1930 succumbed to the economic crisis and the world war that followed. Nevertheless, this invention has fundamentally changed the landscape of what we now take for granted: industrial fans, household applicances, water pumps, machine tools, power tools, disk drives, electric wristwatches and compressors.

7. Robotics -- Tesla's overly enhanced scientific mind led him to the idea that all living beings are merely driven by external impulses.  He stated: "I have by every thought and act of mine, demonstrated, and does so daily, to my absolute satisfaction that I am an automaton endowed with power of movement, which merely responds to external stimuli."  Thus, the concept of the robot was born.  However, an element of the human remained present, as Tesla asserted that these human replicas should have limitations -- namely growth and propagation. Nevertheless, Tesla unabashedly embraced all of what intelligence could produce.  His visions for a future filled with intelligent cars, robotic human companions, and the use of sensors, and autonomous systems are detailed in a must-read entry in the Serbian Journal of Electrical Engineering, 2006 (PDF).

8. Laser -- Tesla's invention of the laser may be one of the best examples of the good and evil bound up together within the mind of man.  Lasers have transformed surgical applications in an undeniably beneficial way, and they have given rise to much of our current digital media. However, with this leap in innovation we have also crossed into the land of science fiction.  From Reagan's "Star Wars" laser defense system to today's Orwellian "non-lethal" weapons' arsenal, which includes laser rifles and directed energy "death rays," there is great potential for development in both directions.

9 and 10. Wireless Communications and Limitless Free Energy -- These two are inextricably linked, as they were the last straw for the power elite -- what good is energy if it can't be metered and controlled?  Free?  Never.  J.P. Morgan backed Tesla with $150,000 to build a tower that would use the natural frequencies of our universe to transmit data, including a wide range of information communicated through images, voice messages, and text.  This represented the world's first wireless communications, but it also meant that aside from the cost of the tower itself, the universe was filled with free energy that could be utilized to form a world wide web connecting all people in all places, as well as allow people to harness the free energy around them.  Essentially, the 0's and 1's of the universe are embedded in the fabric of existence for each of us to access as needed.  Nikola Tesla was dedicated to empowering the individual to receive and transmit this data virtually free of charge.  But we know the ending to that story . . . until now?

In the 21st century, new sin cities around the world have taken up the cause and we've compiled them all in our list. The criteria for a location to make our sin cities list is pretty simple: It has to offer a strong presence of gambling, sex, drinking, drugs and/or partying.

Here are the top 10 sin cities that made the cut.

No.10 Berlin, Germany

Bring out das gimp! Latex pants, tops, chains, whips and S&M are all the rage in Berlin, one of the world's most fetish-friendly sin cities. Need to be punished? Turn yourself in to any of the city's sex dungeons for rehabilitation. Want to dance at a club you can also have sex at? The KitKat Club will oblige. You'll see plenty advertised on magazine stands and guys will snap escort service cards at you as you walk The Strip. Other available vices in this sin city include taking your drinks outside and finding lurid sex shows at strip clubs or tamer ones at well-known casinos.

Have you ever wanted to shoot an Uzi or a handgun? No problem. Just walk into a local gun shop with a driver’s license. You can even indulge your taste for sinful wine and food at many of the city's celebrity restaurants, like Thomas Keller’s Bouchon. The greatest part of this sin city, however, is that no matter how dubious the culture, people respect Vegas as a legitimate destination. Go on and sin. It’s an industry here.



No.3 Amsterdam, The Netherlands

The international destination for weed/Harold and Kumar fans everywhere, Amsterdam has tonnes of cannabis cafes where you can buy hash and marijuana, smoke it and then order food to curb your munchies. Once you've peaked, walk over to the city's red light district where you can look at prostitutes who are on display for anyone who's interested. Finish up your day by checking out a live sex show where various acts are performed on stage, including couples doing the real thing. The greatest part: It's all legal. Not only can you sin, but you can do it paranoia-free.

No.2 Tijuana, Mexico

No.1 Pattaya, Thailand

From "happy ending" massage parlors, brothels, go-go bars and cabarets with transsexuals to ping-pong dancing theatrics, everything is on display at this beachside resort city. Sex is the No. 1 activity (it's called "entertainment" in Thai), and if you can imagine any variation, you'll probably find it on Walking Street, a hub in South Pattaya. While you’re walking, prostitutes will call out to you and some will likely try to pull you into their brothel for services. If you're tired of sex shows, however, you can always sit down to watch guys beat each other to a pulp in a Thai boxing match hosted at the outdoor bars.
