7 Secret Ways We Are Being Poisoned
Are we really being poisoned? Surely not!
We are told the following seven categories of elements are for our benefit.
1. GMO Foods -- Monsanto started as a chemical company that brought the world poisons like Agent Orange and Roundup. Now they are more well known for their domination of Genetically Modified agriculture, owning nearly 90% of staple GMO crops such as corn, soy, and cotton. In independent studies GMO "frankenfood" has been linked to organ failure, and a recent Russian study has concluded near-total sterility in GMO-soy-fed hamsters by the third generation. Despite these and many other legitimate health concerns, it is unlikely that the Monsanto-controlled FDA will curb the growth of GMO foods, while the USDA's biotechnology risk assessment research arm has a paltry $3 million at its disposal. Of course the industry-funded studies show that the effects GMO on human health are "negligible."
2. Food Additives -- When most of us think of harmful food additives we think of Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) which is still in many processed foods, but unfortunately MSG appears to be the least of the poisons now found in our food. In 2008 Melamine was found in infant formula and some food products from China; the FDA went on record to say it was OK, despite sickening tens of thousands. Dangerous food additives appear in nearly all processed foods with even the most common food dyes Red 40, Yellow 5 and Yellow 6 being linked to cancer. Most recently 92,000 pounds of frozen chicken was recalled because it contained "blue plastic pieces," while McDonald's Chicken McNuggets have been found to have "silly putty" chemicals in them. In fact, some researchers estimate that today's chicken is so full of chemicals that it only contains 51% actual meat.
3. Fluoride -- Not all fluoride is bad; only the type promoted by dentistry and added to our water and food supply. Calcium fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral, while its synthetic counterpart, sodium fluoride (silicofluoride), is an industrial-grade hazardous waste material made during the production of fertilizer. Its past history includes patented use as rat poison and insecticide. There are many blind- and double-blind studies that show sodium fluoride has a cumulative effect on the human body leading to allergies, gastrointestinal disorders, bone weakening, cancer, and neurological problems. In this case, the EPA's Union of scientists issued a white paper condemning fluoridation of drinking water. However, as a hazardous waste, it is extremely expensive to dispose of as such. And here might be a clue as to why this chemical, more toxic than lead and almost on par with arsenic, has been disposed of for our consumption.
4. Mercury -- A dangerous heavy metal in its natural quicksilver form, but more so as the neurotoxin, methylmercury, released into the environment by human activity. In both organic and inorganic form, mercury wreaks havoc with the nervous system -- especially the developing nervous system of a fetus. It penetrates all living cells of the human body, and has been documented most as increasing the risk for autism. This calls into question mercury's use in dental fillings, vaccines, and just about anything containing high fructose corn syrup -- a near staple in the American diet . . . including baby food. But the Corn Refiners Association naturally supports this chemical that is "dangerous at any level."
5. Aspartame -- The king of artificial sweeteners was allowed to the market in 1981 when the U.S. Commissioner of Food and Drugs, Arthur Hull Hayes, overruled FDA panel suggestions, as well as consumer concerns. Aspartame is a neurotoxin that interacts with natural organisms, as well as synthetic medications, producing a wide range of proven disorders and syndromes. So who installed this commissioner that would rule against scientists and the public? Donald Rumsfeld, CEO of G.D. Searle; the maker of Aspartame. Rumsfeld was on Reagan's transition team, and the day after Reagan took office he appointed the new FDA Commissioner in order to "call in his markers" with one of the most egregious cases of profit-over-safety ever recorded. Aspartame is now nearly ubiquitous, moving beyond sugarless products and into general foods, beverages, pharmaceuticals, and even products for children. It recently has been renamed to the more pleasant sounding AminoSweet.
6. Personal Care and Cleaning Products -- Everyday household items and cosmetic products are applied directly to the skin, absorbed through the scalp, and inhaled. The Story of Cosmetics uses an animated video to tell a haunting tale of industrial violations and complicit "public safety" groups . . . and still only tells half of that story. The list of common products and their chemical components is encyclopedic. The sum total of the overwhelming presence of these chemicals has been linked to nearly every allergy, chronic affliction, and disease known to man. Most recently, household cleaning products have been linked to breast cancer and ADHD in children.
7. Airborne pollutants -- In a NASA article titled "Airborne Pollutants Know No Borders" they stated that, "Any substance introduced into the atmosphere has the potential to circle the Earth." The jet stream indeed connects all of us. There is one category of airborne pollution that has been conspiracy theory despite a voluminous number of unclassified documents from 1977 Senate hearings: chemical spraying (chemtrails) by both private and commercial aircraft. Recent admissions by public officials strengthen the case. Fallout from these chemical trails has been tested and shows very high levels of barium and aluminum

Top 10 Concerns For 2014

Activist Post
There are many issues on the world's table that are of great concern. Life may change enough in the next year or so that everyone would be noticeably affected.
The 10 concerns presented here are priorities to consider for 2014, either because of being already in progress or imminent, or because, even if the event does not occur in 2014, it would be such a challenge if and when it occurs, that it is crucial to prepare for it now as well as possible.
Due to ignorance from the combination of mass drugging and mind control hypnosis with distraction and manipulation conducted by those wanting full control, as well as the normalcy bias, most of the population remains unaware of the urgency of these concerns.
To understand some of the issues it is important to realize that there has long been a controlling cabal running much of the world’s economic, political, military, social and media activities. Please read The New World Order Empire for a full description.
It is now time to awaken as many people as possible to the disturbing realities going on around us. The more people on board to prepare for protection or prevention the better.
We should be taking action now to make whatever arrangements are possible for protecting ourselves and our loved ones, and to prevent the further development of plans and policies that may be seriously harmful to us.
1 - Comet Ison
Comet Ison is not dead. It has already passed Earth on its way around the sun on November 28, and now has come back by us afterwards. NASA had initially said it had been diminished by the sun to become insignificant, but then it recovered and grew larger again.
Although not as dramatic in the sky as originally anticipated, Ison’s electromagnetic field could be having effects on the sun and Earth while in the neighborhood. Both are behaving strangely. (See next concern below.)
There is another major concern about meteors falling from the debris field traveling with Comet Ison. There have been numerous fireballs in the skies occurring in various areas of the planet.
From now through January, Earth is moving through the path Comet Ison followed on its way into the sun. The debris and dust still present are already increasing the meteor show. One or more small ones may have already hit the ground. The big concern is whether a meteor of substantial size will make it through to smack the planet.
2 - Earth Changes
As we have seen with the earthquakes and tsunamis in Japan and elsewhere, thousands of lives can be lost or disrupted with Earth change events.
The increased levels of earthquakes and volcanic activities, as well as the appearance of sinkholes and fireballs are of significant concern to scientists and others monitoring these developments. The Yellowstone super caldera is much larger than previously thought, and is it is becoming more active, as volcanoes are erupting worldwide.
Most of the world could be thrust into year-round winter with major emissions of volcanic ash dust. Crops would be very difficult to grow, and starvation and death could be a worldwide problem.
Lesser natural disasters, such as drought, fires, storms, winds, floods, snow, ice and extreme temperatures, have already caused great difficulties. These have also intensified in recent years and could become worse.

The sun’s poles shifting more slowy than usual for mid cycle, may have been influencing Earth. Volcanic and earthquake activities have intensified in recent years, with bizarre booms and other loud sounds arising around the Earth.
Meanwhile, Earth's poles have themselves been moving in recent years, possibly in preparation for a vastly more rare planetary polar shift.
Another Earth change theory is that our planet may be expanding again, as it has previously over the billions of years.
Several analysts warn of potential major geographic changes along the coast lines and up the Mississippi River valley and New Madrid Fault zone, where FEMA has held several disaster drills in recent years.
The earthquake and volcanic activity in the Canary Islands is of particular concern since it was discovered that a large underwater section of the Cumbre Vieja volcano on the island of La Palma is ready to slide dramatically into the ocean. This would likely set off a major tsunami that could devastate Atlantic coastlines, especially in North and South America. A recent quake and other signs of magma movement have raised the alert level.
It should be noted that many observers think that the HAARP installation in Alaska, derived from thetechnology breakthroughs of Nikola Tesla, can be used to manipulate and intensify weather, and a few believe that it or some other secret technology could also generate earthquakes and volcanoes on purpose.
3 - Public Poisons
The variety and pervasiveness of public poisons in our air, water, food and household items make it obvious that the poisoning is done on purpose.
Chemicals from farming and industry have polluted our soils, water and air since the mid 20th Century. Chemical additives, including preservatives, colors, flavors, fake vitamins and drugs are laced into many of the commercial food products, in addition to the chemical residues from agribusiness. Sugar and high fructose corn syrup as well as aspartame and other harmful sweeteners are in all too many of these products.
Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) are a more recent addition to the mix of harmful ingredients. Worsening of digestive disorders is the usual first appearance of multiple GMO-related health problems.
Chlorine is a deadly poison that has been added to water to control bacteria since 1910. It has also caused heart disease, cancer and other illnesses in numerous people.
Fluoride was introduced in city water supplies in the 1950s purportedly to prevent dental cavities. It is actually a terrible poison that fosters apathy and causes cancer.
The medical division of the tyrannical conglomerate pushes vaccinations and numerous drugs for almost any condition they can name, undermining health and shortening lives.

Stemming from Nikola Tesla's work and experiments by secret programs going back to the Nazis in Germany, various chemicals and electromagnetic frequencies are used for brain wave interference and mind control. Cell phones and other wireless communication devices are harmingusers while monitoring them.
Population control and elimination of those weakened through poor nutrition, chemical toxins and harmful frequencies, is a policy of the power controllers. Their slow kill manipulation methods run in the background while war, plague and disaster eliminate larger numbers faster.
4 - Nuclear Radiation
We have been radiated from the Fukushima nuclear disaster since shortly after the initial meltdown, and the radiation continues to worsen. Miscarriages, abnormalities in newborns and cancers in both humans and animals, are among the negative health and environmental effects from this silent killer unfolding significantly in Japan and on the west coast of North America, and gradually creeping eastward.
If the Fukushima situation worsens or another nuke accident occurs, life in the Northern Hemisphere may not be possible any longer. Several aging nuclear plants in the U.S. are leaking, too. Nuclear plants are susceptible to natural disaster or to an enemy attack.
Rhetoric about the threat of nuclear war, reminiscent of the Cold War era, is being expressed again. Whether by missiles or strategically placed bombs, or by cyber-attack on nuclear plants, a nuclear event could be severely harmful.
Protect yourself by detoxifying and strengthening the immune system, while increasing the iodine in the thyroid gland and calcium in the bones.
5 - Power Outage
An Electro-Magnetic Pulse (EMP) from a solar coronal mass ejection directed toward Earth, a strategically placed nuclear explosion high in the atmosphere or a blast from a possible secret high tech weapon, could knock out satellites, the electric grid and nearly all electronic equipment.
Most communications would end. The power could be out for much of the continent. Banks, ATM machines and retail stores would not function. Automobiles would not run, pumps would not pump, refrigeration systems would not cool and furnaces would not heat. Water would not be delivered to homes, and toilets would not refill for flushing.
A major cyber-attack might accomplish a similar power grid shutdown, but it would not last as long as an outage from grid transformers being fried by an excessive surge.
Janet Napolitano and a few other former and current government officials have warned that a power outage is a matter of not if, but when it occurs. Two drills have been held in just the last 6 weeks, practicing for a major power off emergency scenario. A number of companies were involved along with several federal agencies.
The warnings by officials, the media coverage, the large-scale drills, and the fact that legislation to strengthen the power grid has been shelved in the U.S. Senate for years, are all indicators that a power down is highly likely.
What if one were planned as a false flag game plan to transform the United States into a third world tyranny state with a massively reduced population?
6 - Economic Collapse
Nearly all of the alternative economic analysts are talking about economic collapse, while the government and banking officials and their controlled media continue pushing the hoax of recovery using falsified statistics.
We are already in a slow collapse, an ongoing depression, that could become "The Greater Depression."
The international banksters are at the heart of the The New World Order Empire that has been developed since these high-level criminals and their agents took over the apparatus of the government during and after the Civil War.
With the institution of the privately held Federal Reserve central bank 100 years ago in 1913, the control of our nation was turned over to a small cabal of powerful interests.
Through locking down the nation in debt, disengaging the currency from gold to be pure debt notes, expanding government size with excessive bureaucratic and military expenditures, manipulating markets and interest rates, and bailing out member banks to support them in their speculative profiteering, the banksters have brought the U.S. and most of the world to the brink of financial chaos and ruin.
This private agency of transnational bankers, is the largest holder of U.S. debt. The FED has been spending $85 billion per month in the latest round of "Quantitative Easing", pumping out several trillion dollars in the last five years as well as having lent additional money to European banks.
Now with the introduction of new bank regulatory measures and assuming that the banks are stable enough, the Fed has been raising interest rates from nearly zero, and announcing modest tapering of the routine Quantitative Easing bailout process. Experts warn that these financial changes may cause the stock market to drop, real estate sales to dry up and the already weak economy to slow further.
If the dollar loses its status as "petrodollar" and world reserve currency, as is currently underway with Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa (BRICS) and other nations agreeing to skip the dollar in their trade activities, the collapse will accelerate.
With few substantial jobs available, and more people losing their jobs or being cut to part time, how can people deal with the expected inflation? What if government payment programs are reduced or eliminated?
7 - Pandemic
The idea of a pandemic has been publicized repeatedly by the medical bureaucracies and the media. The dual purpose of raising fear levels and driving people to get flu shots are part of a psy op campaign furthering the goals of population control and reduction.
Severe viruses and bacteria have been developed as bio-weapons. These could be used strategically for a military objective, such as massive disturbance and elimination of population, or imposition of marital law.
There is little doubt among experts that the H1N1 virus, as a marriage of swine, avian and human strains, has been created in a lab on purpose. The announced deadly new strain of E-Coli bacteria that killed people in Germany not long ago, has also been described by knowledgeable experts as an engineered bio-weapon.

NOTE: Despite any warnings by authorities that a nasty virus is making the rounds, and any increased push for "immunizations", getting a "flu shot" is not a solution. In fact, in most cases, it is worse for you than the flu itself.
Meanwhile, MRSA and other antibiotic-resistant staphylococcus bacteria have been cropping up increasingly in hospitals, killing some and sickening others.
Learning to support good health and strengthen the immune system is crucial.
8 - War
The U.S. continues to be at war. Our troops have been fighting and suffering trauma, injury and death in Afghanistan for over a decade. Although we officially left Iraq after 8 years of war, there are still several thousand U.S. troops in Iraq. Now we are playing war games in other Middle East and African nations.
Where will full-scale war be conducted next? Syria? Israel? Iran? Korea? The U.S.? Somewhere soon we may have more troops at risk of life and limb.
The war machine marches on. War is BIG BUSINESS. The banksters and weapons purveyors have been profiting vastly from war for centuries. The banks usually lend their freely created debt trap funds to both sides of a conflict, favoring whichever one will produce the most value serving their long-term interests.
Defense contractors want their continuous flow of funds to be sustained and grow. Meanwhile, with their vast resources the agents of the financial-government-military-industrial complex have developed technologies far beyond the imagination of the public.
With the talk that nuclear weapons might be used somewhere soon. There is great concern about the enmity between certain nuclear nations, as well as the possibility of nukes in the hands of terrorists or rogue extremists.
The preparation for civil war in the United States is of great concern to those aware of it.
9 - Martial Law
It is expected that the President of the United States would declare martial law by "Executive Order" in the event of a possible breakdown in social order from natural disaster, civil disturbance, terrorist attack, pandemic, economic collapse, etc.
This may sound extreme, but the plans are already in place for deploying security forces into populated areas, which has been done in recent times after both the Katrina and Sandy hurricanes.
Former Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and FED Chairman, Ben Bernanke, warned U.S. legislators several years ago that martial law could result from possible civil unrest due to economic despair if the 2008-9 "Bailout" was not approved by Congress.
Using this threat to get Congress to approve the bailout revealed that martial law is considered an option in the policy tool bag for events other than natural disasters.

The Federal Reserve Bank has been flooding the world economy with trillions of dollars created with no backing. Meanwhile, the oil industry bosses are planning to fulfill their intention to raise oil back to $150 per barrel, or $200 or more at some point.
Whether rampant inflation or a sudden collapse brings major economic chaos, or a disaster or power outage shakes things down, social unrest and clamp down are in the plans.
If martial law were implemented, many more liberties would be suspended. Citizens might be limited to going out only during certain hours, or generally restricted to their homes. Food, water, fuel and more could be rationed or even unavailable. "Dissidents" and the homeless may be taken off todetention camps.
FEMA, an agency of the Department of Homeland Security (which some are calling the "secret government"), has a number of such camps prepared and stocked around the U.S., with a regional administration structure already set up. Alarmingly, the barbed wire strands around the tops of the fences at some of the installations that have been observed by watchdogs are slanted inwards, as in a prison, to keep occupants inside!
Homeland Security and other government agencies have been ordering massive amounts ofammunition. Even with false flag terror events blamed on mind controlled patsies, guns have not been removed from the hands of the people as yet. An attempt to do this by force is not a more pleasant thought.
The bureaucracy has been encouraging citizens to spy on each other with video messages in Walmart and other locations, and forcing people through harmful X-ray machines or groping them in abusive searches at transportation centers. Highway checkpoints are also in the process of being set up.
In schools, children are being taught to report on the behavior of their parents and others, and introduced to practices of boycotting and social disruption. Further, there is a new policy under consideration whereby school administrators would monitor student conversations and even their communications on school buses and on the Internet outside of school hours.
Technologies that have been introduced and promoted for us to use, including computers, cell phones, bank cards, etc., are being used to monitor our communications, interests and whereabouts. Most of these are also harmful to health.
Further, surveillance cameras are cropping up everywhere, on streets, in buses, in public buildings, at businesses, along highways, etc., that can be used with facial recognition software to identify most of us, drawing on a data bank of photos derived from driver's license records, social networking sites, etc.
These and other more sophisticated technologies for identifying unusual behavior and monitoring, tracking and controlling us have been kept under wraps by the powers that be.
For the last two years, the National Defense Authorization Act passed by U.S. senators and congressmen and signed by the president has included the provision whereby U.S. citizens could be arrested in the U.S. and detained indefinitely without charges or trial, or even access to a lawyer. This and other policies indicate that the Constitution is being left in the dust of the worldwide march tocorporate statist bureaucratic tyranny.
10 - Social Change
Through controlled news, mass distraction and hypnosis, preoccupying people with sports, media, celebs, hand-held techno devices, social networking, mental and emotional disturbances, illnesses, medical problems, drugs, insurance issues, debt, crime, games, politics, religion and other divide-and-conquer polarizations, people are little able to perceive and understand what is really going on in the world.
The hidden agenda of the United Nations Agenda 21 being adopted in jurisdictions around the world, is a restricted urban lifestyle for nearly everyone, under centralized control.

Since most of the jobs have moved to foreign lands, only a limited number of workers are considered to be needed in the U.S. With rationing of food and water, limits on energy use, and restricted travel, most of one's time would be spent in their assigned small living unit. Those willing to be upgraded with technological implants may be afforded a better status.
In the Agenda 21 society, the corporate conglomerate of companies, banks, governments, bureaucracies and law enforcement would monitor and run the lives of the work force, after substantial reduction of the population to a manageable level by use of multiple "Silent Weapons For Quiet Wars", possibly including one or more of the disasters mentioned in this article.
Work Together
The first priority for those becoming aware is to prepare as well as possible. Forming a self-sustaining support community with nearby family, friends and neighbors is very important.
Those who are inclined must step up and learn more about what is happening. Organizing in-home gatherings and small meetings, those who are better informed can transmit the information to others until nearly everyone is engaged in making things better.

Ten Ways Bit Coin Is Better
Voluntary:
Bitcoin is voluntary, whereas Federal Reserve notes are enforced at the barrel of a gun domestically and by a vast military complex abroad. Yet, no army can stop an idea whose time has come. Americans now have a choice in Bitcoin -- and China, Russia, and many others are dropping the dollar like a bad habit in global trade. A police state or more war can't stop the rush out of dollars, though they will try.
Decentralized:
Bitcoin has no central authority voting to give your money to their friends. Being decentralized also gives Bitcoin its security because there's not one website or company that can be hacked, corrupted or seized.
Supply Controls:
The supply of Bitcoin is controlled by a fixed algorithm where only 21 million will ever be created, although it's nearly infinitely divisible. The Federal Reserve System has no supply controls over its unit of account. They can print and lend as much into existence as they want, and do it in secret.
Transparent:
The Bitcoin protocol code is open source, as is its ledger of every transaction ever made. The first ever partial audit of the Fed revealed over $16 trillion in secret bailouts before they quickly closed their books again to public representatives tasked with controlling the purse strings.
Free Market Value:
The value of Bitcoin is based purely on the free market's voluntary adoption of it due to its utility as a payment system protocol. Sure some is speculation, but well deserved. Although many market mechanisms exist that contribute to the value of Federal Reserve Notes, ultimately it is about supply n' demand and interest rates which are manipulated by an unaccountable board of directors.
Debt Free:
There is interest owed on every dollar created in the Federal Reserve System. That interest is money yet to be created, which perpetuates a system of exponentially growing debt deliberately designed to gain control of entire populations. It's indeed the greatest scam in the history of mankind. Bitcoins, on the other hand, are interest-free and transaction fees are microscopic.
No Middlemen:
There are no middlemen needed to use Bitcoins. No middlemen making free money from government bonds. No middlemen charging high fees to store and use your money. No SWIFT clearing house needed to collect a fee to verify and approve global transfers. Gone. Bitcoin makes them all irrelevant.
No Favoritism:
During the 2008 financial crisis the Federal Reserve and the US government literally chose economic winners and losers depending upon who they gave special bailouts to. Only innovation and production will choose the winners and losers in the Bitcoin economy.
No Income Tax:
The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 was quickly followed up by the income tax. Without the income tax, debt-based money could not exist. Bitcoin needs nothing but voluntary cooperation to exist, and you might be able to hide transactions from the IRS. This one should get double points on this list.
Gain in Value:
When a currency is increasingly devalued, salaries will consistently fall behind the cost of living. The Federal Reserve System should be viewed as the number one cause of poverty. Bitcoins are naturally deflationary because of its fixed supply. As more people adopt them, the more they'll be worth. It's that simple. Meanwhile, the Fed is still printing like crazy as the world moves away from the dollar. Which would you rather be paid in or invest in?

10 Very Scary Movies
Horror Movies That Are Scary Because of What They Say About Humanity
We go to see horror movies to see terrifying monsters — but sometimes the scariest monsters in a horror film are the people. In movies like Carrie, opening today, the real horror is how terribly the humans behave. Here are 11 of the most misanthropic horror films ever made.
1) Let The Right One In (2008)
In Let The Right One In a young boy is driven from his home by bullies — straight into the arms of a vampire. 12-year old Oskar befriends Eli, a mysterious vampire child. Eli and Oskar form a strong friendship, exchanging messages and presents. Even after he learns what Eli is, Oskar doesn’t run away or break off the friendship. Eli seems to be his only friend, and his relationship with his parents is strained by their separation. Meanwhile, Oskar continues to be bullied by his classmates. In the climax of the film the bullies attempt to drown Oskar in the school pool. Eli comes to his rescue, putting a very violent end to their bullying. Humanity doesn’t come out of this movie looking too great. The people Oskar knows are bullies, drunks, or just too distracted to notice how much he’s suffering. Eli is the only one who helps him and urges him to stand up for himself. And meanwhile, we see what happened to the last human to get drawn into Eli's orbit.
2) Fido (2006)
The zombie apocalypse has come and gone — so naturally, corporations have found a way to turn the undead into slaves. ZomCom has invented zombie slave collars, that are controlled with remotes by the humans who own them. All of the neighbors have one, so the Robinsons buy a zombie to keep up. Timmy Robinson quickly forms a bond with the family’s new “pet,” naming him Fido. His mother, Helen, also forms a bond with Fido while her emotionally distant husband wants nothing to do with it. In addition to showing us the desire of humans to monetize even the most tragic of events, we see that zombies can be better family members than some humans.
3) Zombie Strippers (2008)
Everyone is terrible in Zombie Strippers. The zombies, the strippers, the government... everyone. During George W. Bush’s fourth term in office, a zombie virus gets released in the bleak town of Sartre, Nebraska. When the plague hits a strip club, infecting the star stripper, the club owner decides not to take her off the stage. The customers prefer the attentions of the zombie stripper, so soon enough, more strippers voluntarily become zombies. The intense gore and violence are less powerful than the bleakness of this riff on Ionesco's Rhinoceros.
4) Cabin in the Woods (2012)
Cabin in the Woods shows a team of dedicated professionals, using horror movie cliches to torment five real college students. But it turns out their torment is a sacrifice to a huge, ancient god — and it's the only thing keeping our entire world going. In one unforgettable scene the office celebrates a successful year of murder while a young woman struggles for her life on a screen in the background. As the film comes to a climax, the two survivors ask themselves whether the survival of the human race is really worth it. Their answer is a resounding "nope."
5) The Last Winter (2006)
Humanity is terrible enough in The Last Winter that the Earth itself turns against us. Strange things start happening at an oil drill site, and soon people start to realize that the destruction humanity has caused has called forth the ghosts of fossil fuels. The film suggests humanity has acted like a virus, that the Earth is defending itself against. The ghosts kill off most of the characters in the movie, and in the final scene we see news footage showing widespread natural disasters. It’s clear that humanity has wasted what we was given, and we probably won’t get a second chance.
6) Day of the Dead (1985)
Director George A. Romero describes Day of the Dead as a “tragedy about how a lack of human communication causes chaos and collapse even in this small little pie slice of society.” After the events of Romero’s previous films, a group of government scientists and military personnel shelter in underground bunker near Fort Myers, Florida. The scientists continue their research into finding a cure or pacifying the zombies.Supplies run low and disagreements about the research divides the survivors. Even in such a dire situation, humanity can’t find a way to work together.
7) Deadgirl (2008)
When two high school boys stumble upon a deaf, mute naked woman in an abandoned mental hospital, they rape her and try multiple times to kill her. They bring in classmates, who pay to rape and torture the woman they nickname “Deadgirl.” When they realize that she has an infectious disease that can turn other girls into similar zombies, they decide to infect a classmate who had formerly rejected them. Like Fido and Zombie Strippers, this movie uses exaggeration to show how we're willing to exploit and demean each other in the name of pleasure.
8) 28 Days Later (2002)
After a highly contagious virus gets loose, society starts to break down. The government has shut down after being overrun by people suffering from the "rage virus." A small group of survivors finds a military blockade near Manchester and believe they will be safe, but soon discover that the sadistic Major Henry West can be worse than the Infected. West’s plan involves starving the Infected to death while forcing women into sexual slavery with his soldiers. The female survivors are dragged away to be raped while the men are sent to be executed. The infection is scary, but it’s scarier to watch West abusing his power.
9) The Mist (2007)
After a mysterious mist, full of monsters, overtakes a town, a group of survivors seek shelter in the supermarket. They quickly subbumb to mob mentality. Mrs. Carmody, a religious fanatic, quickly gathers a cult around her who eagerly sacrifice a man to the monsters outside. When the main character, David, tries to flee she destroys his supplies and is killed. David and his group eventually make it out of the supermarket, but find that the outside world is even more terrifying than they thought. In a last ditch effort to avoid being eaten by the creatures in the mist, David kills his companions and walks into the mist to sacrifice himself. He then learns that they were only moments away from being saved and he murdered four people for nothing.
10) Frankenstein (1931)
Frankenstein’s monster might end up as a creature to be feared, but it doesn't start out that way. When he is first created, the monster is an innocent, peaceful creature. Thanks to misunderstandings, and Fritz’s cruelty, he is driven to madness and destruction. If Fritz hadn’t tormented him with fire, or if Doctor Frankenstein hadn’t misunderstood his early actions, perhaps he could have had a very different life and death. Instead, the townspeople form a mob, eventually capturing and burning the monster alive. Humanity created this monster in more ways than one.

The 10 Commandments of Government or 10 Vows to Make You Pay
The 10 Commandments of Government
I Generally speaking, government always grows -- it never shrinks -- whether times are good or bad.
II In each area it purports to "assist", government attempts to replace individual decision-making with central planning.
III In order to implement its grand central plans and solidify its power, government must take from one citizen to give to another; this is, in effect, lawful theft.
IV No matter how many times central planning fails, the self-appointed masterminds in government assert that "this time is different" and that with only a few tweaks and more money, their delusional plans will succeed.
V Because it uses funds confiscated from taxpayers, self-restraint is no obstacle to government's ambitions.
VI Its fundamental misunderstanding of human nature notwithstanding, government must claim to grant "rights", which require it steal the labors of one citizen to give to another (such as food, shelter, employment, and health care).
VII No matter how widespread the harm it causes, government will never provide an honest and historical accounting -- a report card -- of its failures.
VIII As more individuals and families are harmed by the failures of central planning, government must find suitable scapegoats, must lie to do so, and therefore must also repress dissent.
IX In order to build its network of redistribution and grow a culture of dependency on its services, government must inevitably undermine the family unit, religion, and the notion of God-given rights in order to cow, bribe, or intimidate its citizens.
X As government grows ever more powerful, it must also become increasingly oppressive through compulsion and force. To do otherwise would mean government must shrink, and this it cannot do.

Why People Do Dumb Things With Money
15 Biases That Make You Do Dumb Things With Your Money
You are your own worst enemy.
Those are the six most important words in investing. Shady financial advisors and incompetent CEOs don't harm your returns a fraction of the amount your own behavior does.
Here are 15 cognitive biases that cause people to do dumb things with their money.
1. Normalcy bias Assuming that because something has never happened before, it won't (or can't) happen in the future. Everything that has ever happened in history was "unprecedented" at one time. The Great Depression. The crash of 1987. Enron. Wall Street bailouts. All of these events had never happened... until they did. When Warren Buffett announced he was looking for candidates to replace him at Berkshire Hathaway, he said he needed "someone genetically programmed to recognize and avoid serious risks, including those never before encountered." Someone who understands normalcy bias, in other words.
2. Dunning-Kruger effect Being so bad at a task that you lack the capacity to realize how bad you are. Markus Glaser and Martin Weber of the University of Mannheim showed that investors who earn the lowest returns are the worst at judging their own returns. They had literally no idea how bad they were. "The correlation between self-ratings and actual performance is not distinguishable from zero" they wrote.
3. Attentional biasFalsely thinking two events are correlated when they are random, but you just happen to be paying more attention to them. After stocks plunged 4% in November 1991, Investor's Business Daily blamed a failed biotech bill in the House of Representatives, while The Financial Times blamed geopolitical tension in Russia. The "cause" of the crash was whatever the editor happened to be paying attention to that day.
4. Bandwagon effect Believing something is true only because other people think it is. Whether politicians or stocks, people like being associated with things that are winning, so winners build momentum not because they deserve it, but because they're winning. This is the foundation of all asset bubbles.
5. Impact bias Overestimating how big of an impact an event will have on your emotions. Most people are utterly terrible at predicting how happy they'll be after receiving a raise, or getting a new job, particularly as time goes on. We get used to more (or less) money quickly, but it's extremely difficult to realize that before it happens. Your financial goals might change after coming to terms with this.
6. Frequency illusion Once you notice an event, it seems to keep happening over and over. But it's often not; you're just paying more attention to something you were once oblivious to. The 2008-09 market crash was such a memorable event that I think investors and the media became infatuated with today's "volatile market." But the last three years have actually had below-average market volatility. We're just more attuned to normal market swings than usual.
7. Clustering illusionThinking you've found a pattern by taking a small sample out of a much larger one. For example, we know stocks' daily movements over time are random and unpredictable, but you could take a four-day period where a stock went up, up, down, down, and think you've found a trend. Day traders are attracted to clustering like bugs to bright lights.
8. Status quo biasIrrationally wanting things to stay the same. People do this in part because they want to avoid costs even when they're offset by a larger gain -- a process psychologists call "loss aversion." You stick with the same bank even though it charges higher fees than another. You hold onto a stock you inherited even when you know little about it. You don't make changes to your portfolio even when it's not designed for your goals. You just want things to stay the same -- a dangerous mind-set in a world that's always changing.
9. Belief bias Accepting or rejecting an argument based on how well it fits your pre-defined beliefs, rather than the objective facts of the situation. Pointing out that inflation has been low for the last five years is still met with suspicion by those who believe the Federal Reserve's actions must be causing hyperinflation.
10. Curse of knowledgeWhen educated people can't comprehend that lesser-educated people think and act differently from them. Financial advisors and journalists fall for this all the time, spouting off lingo and catch phrases without realizing their customers have no idea what they're talking about (and are too afraid to ask for clarification). This also explains why there's a wide gap between academic theory and real-world reality. Economists who understand finance wrongly assume lay people will act in their best interests. Wall Street banks rightly assume they won't.
11. Gambler's fallacy The belief that future events will be shaped by past events, even when the two have no correlation. A gambler will assume a coin is due to come up heads after flipping a string of tails, but the outcome of the next flip is completely independent of the last one -- the odds are still 50/50 regardless of prior flips. Investors fall for a version of gambler's fallacy when assuming things like economic data, quarterly earnings, and politics will dictate the direction of the market, when in reality the two often move independent of each other. Randomness is hard to accept.
12. Extreme discounting Preferring a small but immediate payoff over of a larger payoff down the road. Some discounting is rational, but investors consistently take it to the extreme. People who have decades ahead of them to invest trade in and out of the market to avoid small, short-term losses, almost always at the expense of long-term returns.
13. Ludic fallacy Coined by Nassim Taleb in The Black Swan, the naive belief that the real world can be predicted with mathematical models and forecasts. It leads people astray because models are purposely simplified while the real world is incomprehensibly complex. As author Dan Gardner says, "No one can foresee the consequences of trivia and accident, and for that reason alone, the future will forever be filled with surprises." Ninety percent of stock analysts and economists would disappear if we'd all just accept the ludic fallacy.
14. Restraint biasOverestimating your ability to control impulses. Studies show smokers in the process of quitting overestimate their ability to be say no to a cigarette when tempted. Investors do the same when thinking about the temptation to do something stupid during market bubbles and busts. Most investors I know consider themselves contrarians who want to buy when there's blood in the streets. But when the blood arrives, they panic just like everyone else.
15. Bias biasThe most important and powerful bias of them all, "bias bias" is the belief that you are less biased than you really are. If you read this article without realizing I'm talking about you, you're suffering from bias bias.
Everyone is prone to cognitive errors. Some more than others, but no one is exempt. Coming to terms with the idea that you are your own worst enemy is the single most important thing you can do to become a better investor.
Daniel Kahneman, who won the Nobel Prize for his work studying cognitive psychology, once said, "I never felt I was studying the stupidity of mankind in the third person. I always felt I was studying my own mistakes." When you realize you are as biased as everyone else, you've won the game.
